This beautiful necklace is made with a Vista Grande Variscite cabochon as the centerpiece. I surrounded the stone with my hand-carved leaves. I cast the whole piece in recycled sterling silver in my studio in northern California.

Vista Grande Variscite mine is located in the Candelaria Hills of Southwestern Nevada. I purchased the cabochon from a very talented lapidary artist.

An oval amethyst drop accents the piece.

Description

Vista Grande Variscite Necklace with Amethyst

The stone is a beautiful Natural Vista Grande Variscite mined in Nevada. An amethyst gemstone is used to accent the design.

The stone is surrounded by leaves that I crafted myself from wax sheets. The piece has been fabricated in my home studio using the lost wax cast process and is crafted from recycled sterling silver.

The sterling silver Rolo chain and pendant have been oxidized and polished to give the necklace that well-worn look.

Pendant dimensions with amethyst drop: 46x18mm

Stone dimensions: 23x14mm

Necklace length: 18″ Please let me know if you would like a different length.

This piece has been lovingly hand-fabricated in my studio located in the Sierra Foothills of California using traditional metalsmithing techniques. I am passionate about my craft and am very honored when a piece finds a forever home♥
