Happy new year lovelies! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with lots of happiness and joy! Mine was very nice and relaxing, but to be honest, I am happy 2018 is here. Intentions and goals are set and I’ve hit the ground running!
First, I’m inspired by Pantone’s visionary color of the year Ultra Violet! Purple is the color of the Crown Chakra. Opening this Chakra can help us tap into deep spiritual understanding and Amethyst is one stone that can aid in this. When I first read about Ultra Violet, I immediately searched my gemstone stash and made this ring and necklace. I plan to use more purple color gemstones, such as Amethyst, Blue Chalcedony, purple Sapphire and Tanzanite in new designs.
Although, my new crush is Rose Cut gemstones! The Rose Cut is traditionally an antique cut dating back to the 16th century. Gemstones with this cut can have a flat bottom or double cut, with both sides having facets. The name Rose Cut came from the stone resembling the opening of rose petals. Today, we are seeing a revival in the rose-cut’s popularity with this cut being a great alternative to the traditional diamond cut. For me, the best part about Rose Cuts is their inherent beauty with inclusions and partially or fully opaque colors. Each stone is beautiful in its own way and has its own unique patterns, clarity, and color. Also, they can be larger in size, and lower in profile, which is great for our busy, active lifestyles. Rustic Rose Cuts is Terra Rustica Jewelry’s newest collection focusing on one-of-a-kind pieces, and I plan to add more designs in the coming future! Here are some latest creations.
How sweet is this ring?! Just in time for valentines day! You can find it here.
Also, I’m currently working on a new collection that could possibly feature words of inspiration or motivational sayings. Stay tuned!
Hoping your new year will be filled with blessings and abundance!
